What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? Indiana--Why is it that after you pay the premiums for LTD coverage and a requirement at that point is to file for SSD in order to receive LTD coverage then when you are finally awraded your SSD they LTD carrier requires you to repay funds received back. & of coursee during this period of time you income is cut your medical bills continue on and then after a cerain period of time your are no longer eligible for their Ins benefits so you have to get coverage soemwhere and getting assistance from the govm't in Indiana takes nothing short of an act of congress.. so you get coverage which is really not sufficient and your rack up medical bills and when you get your SSD lup sum the Ins co that carries your LTD says all that goes to them for back payment and yet in the next breath they are telling you that they will pay you $130 until you turn 65?? It doesn't seem fair and it surely is a finanacila burden on those who have had to continue to get medical care and the medical fees keep adding up. There seems that there should be some protection for those who do have a limited income and are put in this situation. Is there anything that can be done about this situation?
