LTD, SSDI holding back payment for prior overpayment???

LTD, SSDI holding back payment for prior overpayment???

What is the name of your state? Md
My husband has been recieving ltd from Unicare since Oct 07. The ltd policy states his ltd bennifit is ONLY a 2 yr bennifit and would end Oct 09. Unicare made him file for ssdi before starting to pay him. My husband was recently approved for ssdi, Unicare wants his award letter to determine how much we have to pay back, however, ssa may hold his back pay due to an overpayment from years ago... My question is, if ssa holds my husbands back pay for a prior overpayment can Unicare still collect or sue us for the amount of money they paid him while waiting for ssdi approval.
