What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? california,
my cardiologist is placing me on stress disability, after my divorce. he determinded this after reviewing my EKG. would i get payed for disability? this would be the first time i would ever be placed on disability.

There is no such thing as "stress disability" per se. If you are medically unable to work, file for disability benefits.
