Unum Reimbursement Rules

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New Jersey

My husband received monthly payments from Unum for about 9 months. He was finally approved for SSI this month. Can someone tell me the rules Unum applies for repayment of the money my husband was paid.

Do we have to pay back the whole amount or just the exact monthly amount that SSI covers? Taxes were taken from these payments. What difference will that make on reimbursement?

It depends on how your policy is written. It's not a one-size-fits-all answer.

Why don't you ask Unum?
