If a Father dies after remarrying, what rights to his estate do his adult children have?

Anything that was held jointly with the spouse (house, cars, bank accounts etc.) would automatically go to the spouse.

Life insurance and other items that list beneficiaries would automatically go to whoever was listed as the beneficiary.

If there was a will anything else would be distributed according to the will.

If there was not a will anything else would be distributed according to CA state law.
