Does it matter who files for divorce first? My sister just recently learned that her husband had an affair for ten months, starting while she was pregnant with triplets. If she decides to file for divorce on the grounds of adultery, does she need to do it first? He says he's going to file for irreconcilable differences. What if he gets his in first? Does that matter?

Also, if she files on the grounds of adultery, will she be entitled to more than if they file on the grounds of irreconcilable differences?
