Just found some emails from my soon-to-be-ex-husband confirming he had an affair. Can that help me in our settlement? There are issues of debt, physical placement of our two children and my desire to have no geographic restrictions. Thanks.

It MAY help with the debt settlement IF you can get him to admit to it under oath. It will NOT have any bearing on the custody and/or residential restrictions (which in many Texas courts is the county of jurisdiction or a contiguous county).

Unless the there is a large amount of debt or assets, the added cost of a divorce with cause is usually NOT worth the extra money.
