| My husband left in Oct.and now lives in Calif. He has been there since Jan. I am going to legal aid on Mon. to file for a divorce will i be able to since he lives out of state and if so how long should it take? |

| You can file for divorce in your own state (which you did not mention) so long as you have met the minimum residency requirements. You will have to know exactly where your husband lives so that he can be properly served with the divorce papers. It is impossible to predict how long an action for divorce will ultimately take to its completion. |
