What is the name of your state? MA

I am posting this question for a friend.

She had an affair which ended 6 months ago.
Now, his wife found out. She want to know what
kind of lawsuit can his wife bring against her?

Thanks

Is she worried about alienation of affectioN? If so she does'nt have to worry about that as MA doesn't recognize that cause of action.

She doesnt know anything about law, so, she wants
to know what kind of lawsuits she should be expecting.

Thanks

That would be it. And that type of lawsuit is not recognized in MA, so she's "safe."
- Just 1 more question, how about adultery charge?
Can she file such a thing?

I know MA has adultery law which a person can be convicted.

Thanks all for your kindly reply

Yes, she has enough evidents - I think her husband confessed.
If she filed such a thing, will her husband be convicted too since
he's also at fault?
Husband confessing to wife is not proof in a court of law. And no one can guess what will or might happen. I can mention that such a suit would be expensive, humiliating, and a stupid waste of time and money. But if that's how wife chooses to *punish* husband, then there will be no stopping her, will there?

After reading all of your replies, it seems lilke this is the only lawsuit
she should be worry about and there is no way she would go to prision alone.
Her intention is to punish the 'lady' - not so much her husband. I don't think.

How about losing job if convicted? she could get fired, right?

It would not be an issue...there is no case law that I could find for such charges...I live here ...it just AIN"T gonna happen!!
