agreement

What is the name of your state? oregon
my wife and I have been married for over 10 years and just recently agreed to a divorce and what each of us would have . She made up a form where she signed off on two vehicles and a trailer (small utility). Then hired an attorney behind my back against our agreement and wants these back as well as all the other things we agreed to. I agreed to let her have assets in excess of $1,000,000.00 and I would get a money market account of $211,000.00 what can i do to make sure i don't get screwwed on this? my attorney is not very responsive to my questions.

Your wife gave you a nice false sence of security while planning her attack. no one can guarantee that you won't get "screwed", however if you are uncomfortable with your lawyer, get another one pronto. Oh, and keep your guard up at all times from here on in!

Divorce law TN

My wife and I filed divorce in Tn. she and i both are filing under ilrconcilable diferences, and she added in hers "martial misconduct.) the miscounduct is that she is Borderline personality disorder, and i guess i didnt stand still long enought to let her stab me with the knofe. weekly, she would smash the house, threw a wok of hot oil on me, rage and smashe vases and coffee pots on my head etc etc etc. all documented as is her admitting it to out marriage counselr. i told her i want out, and in the divorce papers, basically all it says is that she wants to keep the house. which is fine by me.she has 2 children from previous marriage.

my question is, I had a car accident in april, and she has done nothing to help me * going to dr's i cant drive, food, anything during this time. now, i am going to settle forthe accident for which i am going to recieve money to pay for surgery and reimburse my insurance co for hospital bills. Does she have a claim on this money? if she does, then i will not be able to get surgery. she hasnt mentioned it and dont think she knows whats going on with it, and it wasnt mentioned ib=n the filing.the court papers gave me 30 days to respond, but also says at that time we can present a martial disolution agreement, which can and would be used for the final divorce at that time, provided parties agree. I certainly would agree as my life is in danger arond her. in her filing, she says we have no joint assests or debts, no debts, but certaily assets ( furniture and such ( which again, i would gladly part with to just get away from her.

so what does it mean to make a marital disolution agreement? is that like the final divorce papers. oncethose are made, is that final at the gering in 30 days.? what about the settlement for med bills? surley, it is a better deal for her to take the house and go, than try to get half my settlement, as then, i would just claim half the house and half her 401 k etc etc. i just want out as fast and clean a posssible. i have so much documentation of the abuse, along with sherrifff, doctors and other professionals knowledge first hand of her violence and Borderline personality disorder.

How do i just get out, quickly?

sorry

sorry to whomever post i "
Hijacked'

I am new to the site, and thought i was using the correct button, but evidently not. was not trying to go over someone else question or concern. sometimes in a new site, it is a little hard to understand how the particular site" operates. was not intentional, and no reason to get nasty.
