in texas, married 1993 in louisianna. just recently found out husband may still be married to wife #1 he signed a common law declaration with in 1983. if he is still married to her do i need to have formal papers like annulment or just go on as tho we were never married? actually i don't want him to get into trouble over this if i can help it. he says he thought she had got a divorce but he never saw any papers at any time.
