What is the name of your state? Colorado
Does anyone know if attorney fees become joint debt or is each party responsible for their own attorney fees?

Thanks

A: It depends on what the judgment in the lawsuit says.

While I agree with Seniorjudge....I have never seen attorney fees classified as "joint" debt. Generally either each party pays their own fees, or the judge orders one of the parties to pay the other party's attorney fees....or part of the other party's attorney fees.
