AZ-Divorce propert separation

I live in Arizona and my husband and I are getting a divorce after 8 months of marriage. My question is... is my wedding ring considered mine or is it his separate property or community. It was purchased before we were married because that is the only ring I recieved. I file the petition tomorrow morning, but I want to check on this. He already took the ring from me and got it polished and gave it to the person that wants to buy it, but he has not recieved the money. Does he have the right to do this? I need some advice

If HE purchased it BEFORE you were married, it could be considered HIS sloe property. Then again, it could be considered YOURS, since it was a gift. However, unless this is a VERY expensive ring, the battle over who it belongs to could be more expensive then the ring itself. It may be better to view it as marital propety and split the proceeds.
