Has the legal separation been ordered? Are there any orders at this time?

Is he a cosigner on any debts? What do the orders say? Or were they just FILED with the court?

He wasn't a cosigner on her Student Loans,
The Legal Separation was filed in November, They haven't gone to Court Yet.

Then there are no orders in place. He still could be responsible for the debts. Was a restraining order put on both of them prohibiting them from running up debt in the other's name?

And I am not playing 20 questions any longer. he very well may be held responsible because until a judge says otherwise these are marital debts. It is as easy as that. And hence as marital debts he is partially responsible.
