What is the name of your state? tx. My son just retired fron Navy after 24 yrs. while stationed in Ca for 4 yr, his wife of 12 yrs divorced him. When he had 20 yrs service, his wife went for the gillmore election althrough he was stationed else where. She didn't receive and payments because he was over seas and the Gov. will not pay anyone until he retires. she now seeks back pay of 19,000$. his resisdents has always been Tx. They were married in Tx. Can he refuse to pay? what recourse does he have? can Ca. do this?
