Question

California Divorce Standstill

What is the name of your state?AZ BUT
MY EX FILED DIVORCE IN CALIFORNIA IN 2002. WE HAVE AN ORDER FOR CUSTODY & CHILD SUPPORT BUT THEY NEVER ENTERED A FINAL DIVORCE DECREE AND I AM LOOKING TO REMARRY BUT I AM NOT DIVORCED. WHAT CAN I DO? I CALLED THE COURT THEY SAID CONTACT AN ATTORNEY, THE PETITIONER HAS TO MAKE THE NEXT STEP AND OF COURSE THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN. CAN I FILE A MOTION OR SOMETHING. I JUST WANT TO BE DIVORCED. HOW CAN I GET MY DIVORCE FINAL?

I agree that you are probably going to need an attorney to get this moving again.
