Can an annulment be reversed???

What is the name of your state? TEXAS

a friend of mine wanted to divorce his wife at the time. she decided to make it an annulment since they never lived together. The annulment was finalized as of October.

she is now coming back and wanting to ruin his career and everything else. But just told him that she spoke to her lawyer and that he can revoke the annulment based on the fact that she was so distressed at the time she filed it b/c he had been gone overseas.

Is this true?? she also says her lawer will now make him pay for the truck , and some other things they agreed to leave alone.....in other words she is now going back on everything she had agreed to in the annulment ....EVEN the annulment itself.

So - long question longer...
Once the annulment is public record, and finalized as of over a month and a half ago....can she go back to a judge and have that reversed?

I sincerely doubt it...but he probably should get himself a consult with an attorney in the jurisdiction where the annulment took place.

As far as "the truck" is concerned, no one can help you there without a whole lot more information.

AS it was SHE who initiated and filed for the annulment, it is even less likely that she can now reverse her own annulment.

Since he was overseas at the time, HE may have a chance to have the annulment overturn, but she's pretty much SOL on the matter.

thanks for the replies. I really didn't think there would be a way she could do it, but then again - stranger things have happened, i guess.

(Oh yeah - as for the truck, they bought it together, but she signed the title over to him and he had it refinanced......now she is trying to get money from him for her "half" - not too big of a deal, just more harrassment crap.)

have a great weekend!

EDIT**** The attorney said he would be able to get the annulment reversed since she was under so much stress when she filed it because of her husband being overseas.*********

That's what I took it to mean before you changed it. That's still not nearly enough for HER to have the annulment overturned. Getting an annulment is not a quick and easy process. Enough time went by between deciding to file for an annulment and actually getting the annulment granted that she had ample time to withdraw the petition if she only filed because of "stress".
