Question

can I file divorce for boyfriend recently incarcerated?

What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? California

My boyfriend completed and signed divorce papers recently and he was about to go to file at family court but he was arrested last week. Can I take his signed documents to the court myself and file for him?

I don't think so, but he should be able to submit them by mail. Call the court clerk and ask for instructions for submitting them by mail.

Thumbs up

What about the filing fee waiver form- do you know if the fee is automatically waived since he is incarcerated?
