My husband has just served me with divorce papers, but I am dealing with severe emotional issues, and I am not emotionally or mentally capable of making any legal decisions now. I would like to know if there is a way of filing for an extension for either the 20 day period, during which my response is due, or for the 90 day period _ or both. (I am in WA State.)

If so, what is required? Especially relative to proof of my inability.

I would appreciate as much help as possible, in terms of details, etc., as I am very lost and scared.

Thank you so very much.
