Can I finalize divorce or do I have to start over?

What is the name of your state? CA
I filed in Dec 2003, Respondent never properly filed response. Has the open case expired and do I have to start over or is there a way to pick up where it left off and finally finish this and what would be that next step? House has been sold, we are in agreement with child custody arrangement, there are no diisputes between us.

Go to the courthouse where you filed the lawsuit.

Ask the clerk if it is still open.

If so, y'all can proceed in that case.

If not, you will have to start all over.
