    Post Can I get a marriage license in California if I'm already married?

    Hi. I'm getting married in California with the formal ceremony & everything, but I want to elope and get married in Reno. My fiance and I don't want anyone to find out before the ceremony, so I was wondering if California law will permit me to get a California wedding license so no one will be the wiser that I'm actually already married. We can't wait another 2 months!!! We just don't want our families to know we couldn't wait. If we are unable to show them the California license they're sure to find out. Help!

    My response:

    Yes, as long as you're marrying the same fellow, then you can get a marriage license in California, and all 50 States if you wanted to, and get married in each State.
