Can i move before divorce?

I have a 2 year old with my husband, we are still married but have been seperated for quite some time. i want to move to georgia (and take my son with me) to be with my boyfriend who just moved there for a job. do i have to get a divorce in michigan before i will i be allowed to move out of state and then get the divorce there?

his father and me have talked about it and he understands. he has not been in his life very much and not as much as my boyfriend has.
