In Tennessee there are several reasons a couple can get a divorce. Why your husband's divorce papers stated, "cruel and inhuman treatment or unsafe and improper marital conduct", would indicate someone in the marriage did something to fit the reason that was given. (Maybe it was his ex.) Who filed for the divorce?
If a RO was issued, but he went to see the daughter and everything went fine, only indicates that nobody called the police to say one of them was violating the RO. (Like I said maybe it was against the wife.) Your husband should know what reason the marriage was dissolved over and if there was a RO.
