What is the name of your state?LA
Can you, in Louisiana, legally divorce someone who cannot respond to your
voice, feed themselves or function in day to day activities? This person is in
a nursing home and has been completely infirmed for over two years?

Normally I would simply say that yes you can. However laws in LA are a bit different than many other states so it would probably be wisest to consult with a local attorney on that issue.
