i filed for divorce pro-se in oklahoma 18 months ago and my husband will not file an answer he was served by the sheriff's office. can i get a divorce without him.

My response:

Obviously, you didn't even bother to buy a book on the subject. He had 30 days to respond to the Petition, or suffer a default. But, you needed to file your Request for Entry of Default. You could have been divorced many, many months ago - - but, you blew it.

Now, buy a book at your bookstore, and follow the directions to take your husband's default.
