In the state of Illinois does common law marriage exist? I know in some states if you live together for 7 + years you are legally married. Do these Common Law Legal issues exist in Illinois?

IL does not recognize common law marriage.

by the way , living together does not constitute an automatic common law marriage. It is not recognized in all but about 10 states. It means that you live together as husband and wife. Which means you file taxes together, and you call each other husband and wife, wife adopts husbands last name, etc.
