Not since 1-1-97. Any common law marriage created and recognized before that date is still recognized in the state of GA.

Or any common law marriage recognized in another state. For example, if you moved in together in GA, then moved to TX and met all the requirements for common law marriage, then moved back to GA, then you would still be married, even if it all transpired after 1997.

That's true...but I was focusing solely on this OP's question based off of her other thread on the same topic.
