Community property


What is the name of your state? TX
I have a question on behalf of a friend.....what is Texas constitutes community property......she is on the verge of filling for divorce (no Pre-nup) and makes considerably more that her husband.....what can she protect? Thanks!

This question means nothing. SHe needs an attorney to sit down with her and go through all of her assets.

Almost everything accrued DURING the marriage, bith assets and debts, are generally considered community property. Any attempt to hide any asset to try and "protect" it, would be a very stupid move.

i was only talking about protecting the assests that she had prior to her marriage......I do not want her to get more hurt by this guy.....

Then encourage her to get a good attorney. That is the best advice you can give her.
