What is the name of your state? New York

My husband has moved out of the house, he took everything he wanted and told me I can have the rest. Nothing in writing, but he did leave some things he wants us to split if we sell.

He moved out May 5, 2007. If I were to have a householf sale, would I have to split the proceeds with him?

It is marital property. Without a court order you could get in a whole heck of a lot of trouble for dissipation of marital property. Otherwise known basically as stealing from the marriag.e
