My husband and I were married several years ago and the community property between him and his ex-wife was never settled because she could never come to a reasonable compromise. She is living in their $100,000 home, on 3 acres, we live on another 3 acres that he had. We are up in years now, and since he has grown children , I am begining to wonder what would happen to me and the home we aquired together if he dies and and the community property is still not settled. We live in Louisiana . She gets very irrate and intolerable so my husband has just left it alone because of the children.
