Ok, I need to know what the procedure is for an annulment in NJ and Indiana. How long does one have to wait, how do you file, is there any difficulty if both parties readily agree one of them was not who either party thought they were. Parties were married less than one month before one of them went overseas for a full year, and is not allowed to return to the US for one full year by contract. Both partners discovered a lot of things about one of the parties that NEITHER was aware of before the wedding.

If a legal separation is filed in New Jersey, can it be incorporated ( uncontested) into a divorce proceeding in Indiana? Does a legal separation in either NJ or Indiana make any requirement for further action, and are the parties allowed to interact in order to try and save the marriage, or are they required to have no contact, physical or otherwise except by correspondence and negotiation. Such as could they visit each other on weekends trying to reconcile, or does that negat the required time period to wait before filing a divorce? Dang, but law is confusing.

If a divorce in New Jersey is uncontested, do the parties both have to appear in court, or can the whole thing be dealt with on an administrative and paperwork filing level?

Can any of the aforementioned proceedings be initiated by the partner resident in one state while the other party is overseas for a year, with the overseas partner agreeing to the process and being couriered any necessary documents to be filed?

Sorry about the length of it. As you might suspect it's been a really confusing couple of months.
