The couple now lives in separate houses. The wife wants the divorce. There is one 10 yr old child.
The wife had already talked to an attorney and was willing to pay for the divorce if the husband would just be civil and agree. he refuses to go to speak with the attorney. The attorney has now fully refunded the retainer because he feels if the husband is going to contest the divorce, it will be a long case and the lawyer does not want to handle the case.
The question is this................what options does the wife have to get the divorce if the husband will not partcipate?
How do you get a divorce granted if the other party won't respond?
Thank you in advance for your advice and answers.
Captain.
