contempt of court?

my sister was granted a divorce, alos named residential and custodial parent, no shared parenting. Her ex is the present chief of police of our town. He is a mental case and broke several restraining orders, stalked her, he would park his car outside her apartment and walk home, telling his officers he was sleeping with her so they wouldn't take her reports serious. Now it's final and he never paid the court ordered settlement. He had 60 days, and her lawyer is filing a contempt of court. Now what happens to him, if anything?

Sounds like he needs to be kidnapped and forced to walk back home from Texas.

Seriously, if there are court orders he has violated and she can prove it, then he most likely will be found in contempt, ordered to pay her attorney fees and possibly ordered to do jail time, community service, etc.

In Indiana, violating a restraining order is felony. If it is also in your state and he is convicted of a felony, there goes his job.
