contested divorcemy husband and i have been separated for three years. we have three sons. i have filed divorce papers but he has refused to sign because he does not agree with the custody arrangement. i live in georgia.. him elsewhere. is there anyway i can get a divorce without him agreeing to the custody arrangement. he is the u-s as a resident alien. and he wants to have them 9 months and for me to have them three months. i am afraid he will leave the country with them. i would appreciate any advice. |

| You do NOT have to get him to agree in order to be divorced. Under those circumstances, you will need to petition the court for a final hearing. Then you and he would be given an opportunity to present your arguments and issues, and then the court would make all the decisions about how things are going to go. Good luck to you! |
