What is the name of your state? What is the name of your state? New Jersey
I have recently gone through a rather nasty divorce. During the process I was assigned a judge who has been less than consistant. He has made rulings only to change them later with no explanation. He has made court orders only to turn a blind eye when they were ignored.
Unfortunately, it is common knowledge that the Family Law courts in New Jersey are a "Good 'Ole Boy" fraternity and I am finding that out the hard way.
My question is, when dealing with an inconsistent (to say the least!) judge, do I have any recourse other than filing appeal after appeal (all of which will be heard by the same judge)? Is there someone I can file a complaint with? Can I demand another judge?
This judge has shown lieniency to my ex who has cheated, lied, entered my home against a court order and stolen my and my business' property. And my husband isn't even a citizen of this country.
Please help!
