Default divorce

What is the name of your state? FL.If a married couple split ,one goes one way the other stays put.The one that has moved away has no contact,so the other decides to do a notice by publication, knowing the other party will not see the newspaper, then files for divorce by default.I know a diligent search was "supposed to be done"but wasn't.My question now is this ,the petitioner now gets to keep all the assets ?I submit this information."A Default Divorce , according to the Florida divorce guidelines and Florida divorce laws, is a divorce where the other spouse doesn’t sign the Florida Divorce forms or Florida divorce papers, he/she doesn’t do anything at all with the divorce. They simply default on the case and the spouse who files for divorce gets whatever was asked for in the original paperwork. " I copied this froma FYI piece in an atty.ad Is it really that easy?In the situation I comment about. The couple had no money to go through with attys yet.So the guy goes out of state to family, knowing it;s over but thinking they will legalize it when both parties have their finances and heads on better. She goes and files, the legal notice in the paper 1x a week for 4 or so weeks and runs the paperwork through the little town clerk of court and gets a divorce through default.Does the husband now have no rights, lost equity in home and vehicles? Is this trick really legal
