delay of divorce?

What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? PA

I was told by someone that it is possible to get a delay of a divorce if one of the people is having medical issues as a result of the divorce. Is this true? I was told medical records would need to be submitted, but just curious if this is valid at all.

Well, I know of specific cases where a judge has continued a case because someone has an expected medical situation and needs their insurance to continue....like for an unexpected surgery or something else like that. I am directly familiar (out in the world) with a case where one of the parties discovered they had cancer during the course of the divorce and the judge continued the case until it was cured (about 14 months).

However, I have never run across a situation where someone has tried to claim that the divorce itself is causing a medical problem.

Then you apparently have never run across my ex-wife. This is a tactic used by lots of women to get sympathy from the judge.

My ex-wife did, but it didn't go anywhere with the court.
