What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? New York
I answered a "summons with notice" with a "notice of appearance and demand for complaint" within 20 days. My wife's attorney received it certified mail. My question is: I havent received a verified complaint from her attorney or an adjournment. It has been over 20 days. Will she have to file another index number? Do I have to do something to let the courts know I've not received the complaint? Do they have more than 20 days?
