What is the name of your state? Texas

I am a wife of a disabled retired air force member. Recently, my husband informed me that he has been cheating on me and that he was leaving the children and I. He also has taken the only source of reliable transportation I had. He does send some money but not enough to cover the bills. He recieves VA benefits, Social Security,GI bill , etc totaling about 5K/month, which are all based on his disability and his dependents (wife, children).

We have been married for about 5 1/2 years, we have 2 children together, and 1 child from my previous relationship, which he has supported financially , emotionally, etc. He was going to adopt my child.

It was discovered , while in the military , that he had a brain tumor , which resulted in his medical discharge from the airforce.

I recently learned that he and mistress are renting a home together. Our apartment lease recently expired and he has stated verbally and in writing that he would sign the lease. Well , the lease is expired and he now refuses to sign the lease or to help me with transportation issues. I am so scared and just exhausted from all the games he is playing.

Can anyone help me or point me in to some kind of direction? Can the military legal assistance on base , help me? Should I contact the VA (Veterans Admin) and the SSA(social security admin.) , and let them know what is going on?

One thing that you should definitely do is go down to your local SSA office (assuming the children are also receiving benefits) and get the children's rep payee changed to you.

Then, you really need an attorney, a job, and transportation ASAP. Get help from family if you can.
