We did not have a written pre-martial agreement but things were discussed verbally but she is not honoring this issues. Is there any provision where I may submit a proposal to be seperated from finanacial responsibility of my spouse. I feel traped. We got married in Arizona 5 months ago my wife worked then but she is eating me up finacially and neglects getting work. She now resides in California with her daughter. She has written checks in my name and I had to close out my bank accounts. I now have reason to beleive that she has a past record that she wasn't truthfull about. I have reason to beleive she is also mentally uncabable of taking care of herself finacially and in other areas. Is filling for tempory guardian ship of my spouse an option. I don't want to get the wrong agencies involved because I fear my wife my be able to shadow these issues. I barely make enough in the military and my command doesn't assist with family law. I fear I might be in deep debt by the time I get back. I have contacted many organzations to help my wife but it has not been effective. |
Whew....that's a tough situation. I think you need to be contacting an attorney in AZ if that is your state of legal residence. An attorney may be able to at least file for divorce or separation on your behalf....even if it can't be completed until your return. If nothing else, the attorney can tell you your options.
