Division of House for Ex Fiance

My ex fiance and I bought a house together 1 year ago - both on deed and mortgage. He paid 80% of down payment. We may end up going to court for a forced sale. Am I entitled to half of the profit in the sale of the house or only 20%? I would have never moved out of my apartment, sold my furniture, refurnished and decorated this home etc. if I had thought I was only paying him rent all along. Does this matter?

Your name on the deed? Your name on the mortgage? He can probably show cause for getting his portion of the dp back, but the profit/equity will get split.
