divorceWhat is the name of your state? ma Hello: i'm ready to file for divorce. What forms do I need to fill out? my husband is not going to cooperate and i'm afraid it's going to get nasty. what can I do to reduce all posiible fighting and dirt but also get enough money to support myself and my child? (i will need some time to get a full time job and find good day care for the child, plus I need to continue my education in order to get better paid jobs) we have a 1 year old baby. I work only part time. we've been married for 3 years and I'm in the process of getting a permanent resident status(just filed I-751). my name is not on the house but my husband refinanced 2 times since we 've been married. I used to pay the bills, but now he does and the mortgage as well. There are two more loans my husband incurred with my name on them, how do i take this responsibility off my shoulders after the divorce? I'd like to know what to expect in general ( the least amount we are entitled to). thank you very much for your help |

What you REALLY need to do is this: search the internet for Mass. Family Law. Read and read and read. Look for attorneys in the yellow pages that offer free initial consultations, prepare a list of questions, and go learn more. I can assure you of one thing: that you are asking for FAR too much right away -- a 3-year marriage is NOT going to result in spousal support/alimony.
