What is the name of your state? OK
A friend of mine has just seperated from his wife in the
state of Oklahoma. He was married for less then 3 years
and did not have any children with his wife but she had 2
from a previous relationship that lived with them full
time. He was planning on moving to California to be near
his family but she has now filed for divorce and wants him
to pay alimony, child support, pay for her schooling and
support her while she is in school as well as wanting
everything in the house. He is now pretty freaked out and
is going to stay in Oklahoma to fight her. Can she really
take everything from him and get child support for kids
that are not his? She did not work much of the time they
were married, so he did support her during the marriage.
Any info is appreciated.

The chances of alimony are slim to none, the chances of child support is zero, unless he adopted the children. There MIGHT be a slight chance of a small amount of spousal support for a short time. What is your relationship to this friend?

Just a friend. We have known each other since high school, so for over 20 years. He seems to think that she will get everything she is asking for, so I wanted a professional opinion because I do not agee with him.
Thanks for your time.

Oh, my opinion isn't professional. It is simply based on the information that I've gleaned from these forums. While you're waiting for the professional opinion, read some other threads. You'll learn a lot!
