I want to know where should I file for divorce? My wife lives in california, I live in Louisiana

Either one can grant you a divorce if you meet the residency requirements (in CA, if Either spouse is a resident you can file there.) However, the real issue will be whether you have any custody or property division issues to settle. LA courts will not have jurisdiction over property or children in CA in most circumstances and vice versa.
