my wife filed for divorce in march 2001. the divorce should have been final in september 2001 but she will not meet with the mediator to make the settlement agreement. therefor the divorce is not final. what can i legaly do to get her to proceed with the settlement agreement and finalize the divorce?

Make an appointment with the mediator. Then one hour before the schedued apointment time, show up at your wife's home or place of work and handcuff yourself to her. You can then take her to the appointment with you to make sure she gets there. ;)

Kidding.

You need to file a notice with the court of your efforts to get her to mediate, tell the court she won't cooperate and ask the court to set it for a final hearing.

If she doesn't show up for that, she can be held in contempt of court, and a warrant can be issued for her arrest.

She can stall a divorce, but she cannot stop it.
