My response:
You need to "Bifurcate" your divorce from your property issues. Normally, all matters are decided at the same time; e.g., divorce, child issues, property issues, etc. However, sometimes - - in fact a lot of the times - - people get mired in property and / custody issues which hold up the entire process. So, in order to get a divorce finalized, you can file a Motion to split up the issues, called Bifurcation (or even Trifurcation) and have your issue of divorce finalized, but allowing the court to retain jurisdiction over the other issues, to be decided at a later date. So, you can get your divorce finalized immediately by using this method of "breaking" that issue away from all other issues.
Good luck.
