My husband was to file for divorce instead filed for bankruptcy. We have been separated since Feb. My husband left with the divorce papers to fill out. Instead of filling them out he is claiming bankruptcy. We were only married l year so we had accumulated very few items together. My question is that can the creditors take items out of my house that he has put on the list? There are 3 items, couch, love seat and computer.
Also, we have 2 cars that have both our names on the title. I am paying for the car in my possesion, but he has not made any payments on his car since March. Can the creditors take my car? I am current on my payments and keep up the insurance.

Let's start with these questions. I really need to file for divorce myself and I know this but he is now making it very messy.

Thank You for your help.
