divorce and debt ( HELP)

What is the name of your state?new york
Out of 12 year married i live with her about 3 year and now we are getting divorce now she want me to pay for her credit card charges witn incurred after the 3 years living with her i have nothing to do with the her credit card that her personal credit card im no a co signed and i never knew about that she own about 17,000 on it so im suppose to go to court for that issue now.the question is can the courts make me pay for those charge she made in with it has nothing to do with me ,what can i do ...please help
