What is the name of your state (only U.S. law)? IL

My sister is getting divorced. She filed and her husband was served papers. He then defaulted on his response. Now she is having him subpoenaed for a depo. Can you tell me what the consequence will be if he ignores said summons? Also I believe he has the right to respond after default do you know what the deadline is and if he still fails to respond what are the consquences there?
