I have a very good friend who is only 17 years old. He ran away to Florida to get married because it is legal to do so there. He did it the day he turned 17. I believe that he did this to stay out of foster care. Now he cannot handle being married to her. She is absolutely awful to him. If he files for divorce in Alabama where he now lives, will he be turned back over to the custody of the state? Can he get a divorce if she does not agree to sign the papers? I am trying to help him out with this so anyone with any input on the subject it would be very greatly appreciated if you could help me. Thank you.
